I sidste uge var Bygherreforeningens plejebolignetværk samlet for at drøfte fremtidens boliger til ældre. Partner Christian Karlsson var inviteret til at fortælle om hvordan vi i pilotprojektet demensX 3.0 arbejder med, at integrere fremtidens boliger for mennesker med demens i lokalsamfundets fællesskab.

Vi er glade for interessen og den spændende dialog - også fra udlandet bl.a. er vi inviteret til at fortælle om demensX og vores arbejde med design for dem, der behøver det mest ved den internationale kongres Healthy City Design 2023 i Liverpool d 16-17 Oktober.

CHRISTIAN KARLSSON TALKED AT THE DANISH ASSOCIATION OF CONSTRUCTION CLIENTS LAST WEEK

Last week The Danish Association of Construction Clients (DACC) was assembled to discuss future housing for the elderly.

Partner Christian Karlsson was invited to talk about how we in our pilot project demensX focus on integrating future housing for people diagnosed with dementia with into local community.

We are happy with the interest and the exciting dialogue - also from abroad as we have been invited to talk about demensX and our work with design for those who need it the most at the international congress Healthy City Design 2023 in Liverpool on the 16-17 of October.

NY STOR INTERNATIONAL ANERKENDELSE !

Karlsson arkitekter modtager Honorable Mention i en af verdens største og mest fornemme arkitekturpris The International Architecture Award 2023 for arbejdet med det nye Højsikrede Psykiatribyggeri i Trondheim, Sikkerhetsbygget.

Byggeriet blev indviet i 2021 og er udviklet i samarbejde med St Olav Hospital, Ratio arkitekter (no), Schønherr (dk), Cowi (no) og ikke mindst NCC, no som totalentreprenør.

Prisen uddeles i et samarbejde mellem The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design og The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban. Mere end 800 projekter fra hele verden har søgt prisen, som bliver overrakt 15. september i Athen.

Vi er stolte af, at vores arbejde med en mere humanistisk arkitektur for grupper i samfundet som har det svært, bliver anerkendt verden over !

Karlsson architects receives Honorable Mention in one of the world's largest and most prestigious architecture awards, The International Architecture Award 2023, for our work on high security psychiatric hospital in Trondheim – SIKKERHETSBYGGET.

The building was inaugurated in 2021 and has been developed in collaboration with St Olav Hospital,  Ratio arkitekter (no), Schønherr (dk), Cowi (no) and not least NCC, no as general contractor.

 

The prize is awarded by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban. More than 800 projects from all over the world have applied for the award, which will be presented on 15 September in Athens.

 

We are proud that our work with a more humanistic architecture for socially challenged groups in society is recognized worldwide!

DET NYE PSYKIATRISYGEHUS I SLAGELSE (GAPS) HÆDRET I LONDON !

På EUROPEAN HEALTHCARE DESIGN CONFERENCE 2023 i London blev tegnestuens arbejde med det Nye Psykiatri Sygehus i Slagelse i går fremhævet - ”Highly commended” ! - som et af klodens mest bæredygtige sundhedsbyggerier, bedømt på design, funktionalitet, fleksibilitet, høj ydeevne og opfyldelse af internationale bæredygtige standarder, herunder sociale, økonomiske, menneskelige og miljømæssige faktorer.

NEW PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL IN SLAGELSE (GAPS) HONORED IN LONDON !

Yesterday, at EUROPEAN HEALTHCARE DESIGN CONFERENCE 2023 in London the work with New Psychiatric Hospital in Slagelse was highlighted - “Highly commended” ! - as one of the world’s most sustainable healthcare buildings, based on design, functionality, flexibility, high performance, and meeting of international sustainable standards, including social, economic, human, and environmental factors.

GAPS is standing the test of time !

We are proud to be awarded at the EHD Conference, again this year. In 2022 we received an award in the category Mental Health Design for the work with high security psychiatric hospital in Trondheim – SIKKERHETSBYGGET.

GAPS SHORTLISTED FOR EUROPEAN HEALTHCARE DESIGN AWARD 2023 !

Psychiatric Hospital in Slagelse (GAPS) is shortlisted to win the European Healthcare Design Award 2023 in the category Design for Sustainable Development - sustainable psychiatric building !

Karlsson architects are once again participating at the EHD-conference in London. In 2022 we received an award in the category Mental Health Design for the work on high security psychiatric hospital in Trondheim – SIKKERHETSBYGGET.

KARLSSON ARKITEKTER UDVIKLER 19 PLEJEHJEM FOR ODENSE KOMMUNE !

Vi er utrolig glade for at kunne offentliggøre, at vi, i samarbejde med INGENIØR’NE, LAND+ og 360 Brandrådgivning Aps, har vundet opgave om screening af 19 eksisterende plejehjem i Odense Kommune.

I tæt samarbejde med Odense Kommune samt ledelse og brugere, skal vi udvikle hvert enkelt plejehjem med fokus på 4 værdier - hjemlighed & atmosfæres, wayfinding, kontakt med naturen og lys - særligt døgnrytmelys.

Opgaven er en del Odense Kommunes initiativ ‘Velfærdens Fundament’, som blandt andet omfatter de ældste Odenseanere.

Vi ser frem til at samarbejde med Odense Kommune og at medvirke til godt design for dem der trænger det mest !

KARLSSON ARCHITECTS IS DEVELOPING 19 NURSING HOMES IN ODENSE KOMMUNE !

We are very happy to announce that we, in collaboration with INGENIØR’NE, LAND+ and 360 Brandrådgivning Aps, have won assignment about screening of 19 existing nursing homes in Odense Kommune.

In close collaboration with Odense Kommune, management and users, each nursing home is developed with special focus on 4 values - domesticity & atmosphere, wayfinding, outdoor relations and light - especially circadian light.

The assignment is a part of initiative ‘Velfærdens Fundament’ from Odense Kommune, which amongst other things includes the elderly citizens of Odense.

We look forward to cooperating with Odense Kommune and to contribute to good design for those who need it the most!

demensX 3.0 KOMMER SNART !

I går var Karlsson Arkitekter inviteret til bygge- og anlægskonference afholdt af Building Network, hvor fremtidens bolig- og velfærdsprojekter, med fokus på bæredygtighed og den grønne omstilling, var på dagsorden.

Partner Christian Karlsson gav indblik i, hvordan tegnestuen arbejder med pilotprojektet demensX 3.0, hvor fremtidens boliger for mennesker med demens integreres i lokalsamfundet. I demensX 3.0 ser vi på fællesskabet - fællesskaber på tværs af generationer og særligt fokus på social bæredygtighed.

PRESENTING demensX 3.0 !

Yesterday Karlsson architects was invited at Building Networks’ building conference, focusing on sustainable and green future housing- and welfare projects.

Partner Christian Karlsson was presenting, how the office is working with the pilot project demensX 3.0, concerning future housing for people diagnosed with dementia integrated as part of local community. The projects demensX 3.0 is focusing on the community – community across generations and especially social sustainability.

We look forward to share more of demensX 3.0 !

VI HAR VUNDET RAMMEAFTALEN MED RUDERSDAL KOMMUNE !

Karlsson arkitekter er, i samarbejde med KNAS Klaus Nielsen AS og 360 Brandrådgivning Aps, en af de tre vindere i konkurrencen om 3-årig rammeaftale med Rudersdal Kommune.

Opgaven lyder på teknisk totalrådgivning samt bygherrerådgivning i forbindelse med ombygning, renovering og vedligeholdelse af alle Rudersdals Kommunes bygninger.

Vi ser frem til samarbejdet med Rudersdal Kommune og muligheden for at medvirke til at skabe ny udvikling og kvalitet !

WE WON FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT !

Karlsson architects is in collaboration with KNAS Klaus Nielsen AS and 360 Brandrådgivning Aps, one of the three winners of the 3-year framework agreement with Rudersdal Kommune regarding reconstruction, refurbishment and maintenance of all Kommune buildings.

We look forward to cooperating with Rudersdal Kommune and having the opportunity to help create new development and quality !

SVENDEPRØVEN I HUS!

Vores dygtige kollega Katrine har bestået sin svendeprøve og er blevet færdiguddannet Multimedie animator fra 3D College Denmark i Grenaa !

Vi har med fornøjelse fulgt Katrines udvikling og talent for faget gennem 3 år, hvor hun har haft læreplads hos Karlsson Arkitekter og er glade for at Katrine fortsætter på tegnestuen i 2023.

Our very skilled and experienced colleague Ane has completed a course in sustainability and is now also a certified consultant in sustainable building. Our office has a strong focus on our approach to sustainable architecture and we are very excited to use Anes competences in ongoing and future projects and be part of reducing climate footprint in building.

KAN ET RETSPSYKIATRISK HOSPITAL VÆRE LUKSUS?

Vi har ofte mødt stor udenlandsk begejstring og forbløffelse af de høje standarder af fysiske rammer i de nye psykiatrisygehuse i Danmark, og nu også i Norge, som slet ikke er selvfølgelighed i resten af verden.

Vores arbejde er blevet bemærket i New York og vi har netop modtaget prisen Best Luxury Public Services Architecture for Sikkerhetsbygget i Trondheim så ja, svaret er - det kan det godt!

CAN A HIGH SECURITY MENTAL HOSPITAL BE LUXURY?

We have often experienced great awe about the high quality of the physical environment in the new psychiatric hospitals in Denmark (and now also in Norway), which is not always an obviousness in the rest of the world.

Our work has been noticed in New York and we have just received the Best Luxury Public Services Architecture for Sikkerhetsbygget in Trondheim so yes - the answer is - it can!

The project is carried out in collaboration with NCC Norway, Ratio arkitekter, Cowi Norway and Schønherr.

We are very proud of the successful Nordic collaboration and to elevate the standards for psychiatric construction in Scandinavia together!

CHRISTIAN KARLSSON UDPEGET SOM FAGDOMMER I ARKITEKTKONKURRENCEN OM DET NYE MARTEC KRAGHOLMEN I FREDERIKSHAVN

Martec Kragholmen i Frederikshavn, som er en del af Det Blå Danmark, skal blive til en unik, moderne og attraktiv søfartsskole og står overfor en omfattende modernisering.

Projektet udføres som arkitektkonkurrence og omfatter både renovering af eksisterende bebyggelse, samt nybyggeri for at skabe optimale rammer for undervisning og ophold for elever og undervisere.

Derudover er der stor fokus på bæredygtighed: godt indeklima, lav energiforbrug og effektiv energiforsyning.

Projektet gennemføres med støtte fra den A.P. Møllerske Støttefond.

CHRISTIAN KARLSSON APPOINTED AS A JURY MEMBER OF THE NEW MARITIME AND POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (MARTEC) COMPETITION.

Martec Kragholmen in Frederikshavn is going to be modernized to become a unique, modern and attractive maritime education center.

The project is kicked off with an architecture competition and is about both renovating the excisting buildings and new construction.

There is great focus on sustainability, where good indoor climate, low energy consumption, effective energy consumption and good environmental parametres are prioritized.

The project is supported by the A.P Møller Foundation.

KARLSSON ARKITEKTER VINDER OPGAVEN OM BYGHERRERÅDGIVNING FOR GENERATIONERNES KVARTER I HILLERØD KOMMUNE !

Vi er utrolig glade for at kunne offentliggøre, at vi har vundet rammeaftalen med Hillerød Kommune om udvikling af Generationernes Kvarter i det nye byområde Favrholm.

Opgaven er vundet af et stærkt team - Karlsson arkitekter som bygherrerådgiver og arkitekter, Schønherr som landskabsarkitekter og Dines Jørgensen & co. som rådgivende ingeniører.

Generationernes Kvarter handler om at skabe et byggeri, der samtænker plejehjem, daginstitution og kultur- og fritidsaktiviteter.

KARLSSON ARCHITECTS WINS CLIENT CONSULTANCY ASSIGNMENT GENERATIONS QUARTER IN HILLERØD MUNICIPALITY

We are incredibly happy to announce that we have won the framework agreement with Hillerød Municipality to develop Generations Quarter in the new neighbourhood Favrholm in Hillerød.

The assignment is won in a strong team – Karlsson architects as client consultants and architects, Schønherr as landscape architects and Dines Jørgensen & co. as engineers.

The Generations Quarter is a concept that combines elderly care, daycare, culture and recreative program.

‘’We are looking forward to the collaboration with Hillerød Municipality to develop the area and built environment for the elderly, families, children and youth. Furthermore, we are excited about the ambitions to create a whole new concept for living and activities across generations, ’’ says Hedvig Molnár Karlsson, partner and architect at Karlsson architects.   

SIKKERHETSBYGGET I TRONDHEIM VINDER EUROPEAN HEALTHCARE DESIGN AWARDS 2022 !

Karlsson arkitekter modtog i går European Healthcare Design Awards 2022 ved prisuddeling på EHD-konferencen i London for arbejdet med det nye sikkerhedspsykiatriske sygehus i Trondheim –SIKKERHETSBYGGET.

Prisen er givet i kategorien Mental Health Design og blev bedømt bl.a. på kriterier om innovative design og humanistiske omgivelser, som understøtter behandlingen, omsorg og recovery i samspil med sikkerhed og arbejdsflow.

”Vi er utrolig stolte over den internationale anerkendelse projektet har fået og dermed også anerkendelse af de idéer og principper for en humanistisk og helende arkitektur, som vi arbejder med” udtaler Christian Karlsson og takker samtidig for det fine samarbejde med bygherren, brugere og i teamet.

Psykiatrisygehuset er Norges første højsikkerhedspsykiatriske sygehus og har fokus på at skabe helende arkitektur for patienter med alvorlige psykiatriske diagnoser og dom til behandling. Projektet er udført i samarbejde med Ratio arkitekter, NCC Norge, COWI Norge og Schønherr for St. Olavs Hospital og Sykehusbygg.

SIKKERHETSBYGGET IN TRONDHEIM WINS EURPOEAN HEALTHCARE DESIGN AWARDS 2022 !

Yesterday Karlsson architects received the European Healthcare Design Awards 2022 at the award ceremony at the EHD conference in London for the work on the new high security psychiatric hospital in Trondheim – SIKKERHETSBYGGET.

The award was given in the category Mental Health Design and was based on the achievement to reconcile the patients need for a humanistic environment that supports ongoing therapy, care and recovery, and the requirement for appropriate levels of safety, security, and supervision.

“We are incredibly proud of the international recognition the project has received and thus also recognition of the ideas and principles for humanistic and healing architecture that we work with” says Christian Karlsson and thanks the client, users and the team for the fine cooperation.

The psychiatric hospital is Norway’s first high security psychiatric hospital and focuses on creating healing architecture for patients with serious psychiatric diagnoses and sentenced to treatment. The project has been created in collaboration with Ratio arkitekter, NCC Norge, COWI Norge and Schønherr for St. Olavs Hospital and Sykehusbygg.
